Kids birthday party!

Last week was a big event for us here in our house. It’s the birthday of our daughter JeanJean. She turn 11 last week. Prior to her birthday we brought her to a resort in Matina for her to see if she wanted to celebrate her birthday party there. When we enter the place and she saw they had pool and the view was spectacular. She then turn around and told My husband Bob and me that she wants her party there. The name of the place is Felis Resort. It’s just 5 minutes away from SM.

Then we just had another party yesterday for our son Aaron. He is 11 years old too. Before seeing the place Aaron was so sure that he wants his party to be held in our house because we have lots of games and activities to choose from in the house, like xbox, xbox 360, psp, ps2, computer games, basketball and trampuline.

the kidsHe changed his mind quickly after seeing the pool at Felis. They really like to swim. The menu for the kids party was good too. Lots of food for them to choose from. Basically, you can choose 3 different foods and 1 dessert including 1 drink. For that we paid 250 pesos per person. Not bad though. With the swimming it’s 60pesos per person. They table was arrange nicely and the food was set like a buffet style. It was really nice and clean. Now our other 2 kids wants their party to be there too. I really highly recommend Felis for party and seminars.

I’m really happy seeing the kids having fun there.  We had fun watching them swim. We’re even thinking of having our Thanksgiving party there so that we can invite a lot of our friends. That would be fun. Don’t you think?

Maybe see you at Felis guys.

Happy Anniversary Honey!

Happy Anniversary to you Hon. Wow, I’ve been married to Bob for 17 years today. We were married August 9, 1990 in St. Peter & Paul Parish in Lagao, General Santos City. I was a college student then in Cebu. We just came to GenSan to get married since my parents lived there. I am happy to be married to him. I am proud to be his wife. His been really a good husband and good father to our four kids. His also good to our nieces, nephews and my other family. He is so close to my Mom even though it’s hard for him to communicate with her. That’s part of the reason why he wants to learn to speak bisaya so that my mom and him can communicate sometime. He really tried to speak to her even with his broken bisaya.

Hon for 17 years we’ve been through a lot. I am glad that our love with each other are really strong. Nobody can keep us apart no matter what. You’re the only person that was there for me when I was having a hard time adjusting in the States. You taught me a lot there. I really thank you for the unconditional love that you gave me and still continue loving me . That’s why my love for you is endless.

HAPPY, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HONEY! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

Granny’s coming again for a visit!

Our kids are getting excited over the coming visit of my mother-in-law. She’s coming here next month. The kids are already counting the days. She’s going to stay here for 2 months. She’s attending the birthday party of our 2 kids in September. Wow, Aaron and Jean jean are super excited already. She’s here during Christmas of last year. What a great Christmas too with the kids because they spent lots of time bonding with Granny.

My mother-in-law, she’s also getting excited to come here because she likes to eat lots of our fruits here. She loves rambutan especially. She like to drink calamansi juice and mango shake. One thing she likes here too is the pork liempo. You know what? We told her to just stay here in the Philippines for good since she likes it so much here anyway. She told us that she’s really considering in moving here due to Bob and I can’t be with her in the States if ever she gets ill or something. As you guys know we have 4 kids to take care of. If ever she decides to live here later at least we could have somebody help us take care of her and it’s cheap too. Her other son can’t take care of her there because they are too busy with their lives. Nothing against that, that’s just the way you live your life there. Everybody’s busy.

Anyway, I hope that still a long ways for us to worry about. We love her dearly.

Heartache

Today I was shocked what my neice decided to do with her life. When she was just a baby my parents took care of her. When we moved here to lived we got her to lived with us and we then sent her to a very nice school. Well, when she moved out last year and stayed with a classmate. The brother of the classmate got her pregnant. Well it was a shocked to us that when she came back to see us she had baby already. Bob and I gave her second chance, we let her worked at our business and we are also babysitting the child. We told her to save up the money that we paid her from working with us so that in a year or so she can go back to school and finish up her nursing degree. We even offer to help her take care of the baby. Few days ago Bob offered her to let her work more hours so that she could earn more. Yesterday she e-mailed Bob and told him that she is not interested to work anymore. She was upset that we told her that she should work extra hard now to support the baby if she wants to give the baby good life. I think she was just shock why we are not giving her or sending her back to school like before. My goodness she really defy us before when we told her to stay in school and study, instead she went out and party and got drunk. She would tell us that she went to her classmates house to work on their projects, we believed on what she told us. We never thought that she could do what she did, drinking and lying to us. Now she still expects us to just hand her the money for her to go back to school now! Not gonna happen. I really thought she has learned her lessons when she moves out before, I guess not. We felt she’s still immature.

All of us here felt sorry for the baby. My neice just doesn’t know yet how to take care of the baby. Could be she’s just too lazy. Honestly we hope that the father of the baby will let my neice go back to school so that when she finish up her degree she will have a good job. We haven’t meet him yet because he is too chicken to come and see us. My heart ached for the baby, but I can’t be responsible for her. My neice is already old enough to know what she was doing. She needs to learn her lesson that we are not gonna be her wallet anymore. She just used us to get ahead and not even thankfull of what we did for her.
